રક્ષાબંધન ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિનું એક પવિત્ર અને ભાવનાપ્રધ ઉત્સવ છે. આ પર્વ ભાઈ-બહેન વચ્ચેના અટૂટ પ્રેમ અને એકબીજાની રક્ષાનું પ્રતીક છે. "રક્ષા" અર્થાત ભાઈ બહેનની રક્ષા કરે અને "બંધન" એટલે સંબંધ. દરેક વર્ષ શ્રાવણ માસની પૂનમના દિવસે રક્ષાબંધન ઊજવવામાં આવે છે.
